The Maplewood Village Alliance is a non-profit special improvement district which includes merchants, property owners and residents dedicated to the preservation, promotion and enhancement of Maplewood Village. A Special Improvement District is a self-governed entity, which funds itself primarily by a special tax assessment on commercial properties within the improvement district. The Alliance is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation governed by a board of directors composed of business and property owners, Maplewood residents and municipal officials.

The Alliance sponsors and promotes events in the downtown Village business district. These efforts welcome the local community to the Village area and help create a favorable environment for our local businesses. The Alliance also performs a variety of supplemental services such as sidewalk cleaning and providing fa├žade grants to local businesses who have renovated their facades within existing design standards.
