MEUS is hosting its inaugural Clothesline Benefit Art Sale*.
Come purchase affordable art from local and regional artists to support a good cause. All work is priced at $25 or $50 and your purchase helps The Essex LGBT Reaching Adolescents In Need (RAIN) Foundation provide food, shelter, and support services to homeless LGBT youth & young adults.
RAIN Foundation provides emergency shelter services to address the emergent need of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) individuals experiencing crisis leading to homelessness. Their programs promote self-sufficiency and independence to enhance their residents’ ability to function within their communities. Their programs aim to help adolescents lead healthy, productive, and meaningful lives.
FOR ARTISTS: HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
We are asking artists to donate work that will be featured and sold at this benefit event. Artwork will be presented on clotheslines strung throughout our mezzanine space, and should be unframed, two-dimensional work on paper, no larger than 11" X 17". All work will be priced at either $25 or $50, decided by the artist, depending on the size and complexity of the work. Space is tight, so please just one or two pieces per artist!
Please bring donations to MEUS during shop hours (Tues.-Sat. 11-5, Sun. 11-4) by 12/5.
