About the Artist: Sandra Charlap
After attending Parsons School of Design and getting my degree in illustration, I created a company designing and creating custom tabletop ceramics for noted department stores such as Barney's, Henri Bendel, Neiman Marcus, and ABC Carpet and Home.
My work has been featured in numerous national publications such as Metropolitan Home, Home, Bon Appétit, Gourmet, Studios, Art Direction, and the New York Times.
I continue to explore art in many different mediums. I have expertise in painting, printmaking, found-object sculpture, and ceramics. For the past four years, my focus has been mosaic art, however that morphed into micromosaic utilizing seed beads as my medium of choice. Teaching has also been a source of joy, and I will continue to hold workshops at The Eclectic Chic boutique as well as online for groups and privately.
