Join Durand-Hedden at the Woodland Great Hall for “Sojourner Truth: Suffragist and Abolitionist”
Join Durand-Hedden on Sunday, March 13, at 2pm for an engaging and informative opportunity to hear the stories of Sojourner Truth, Suffragist, and Abolitionist, as interpreted by Dr. Daisy Century.
Doors open at 1 pm; program begins at 2 pm.
Dr. Daisy Century is a well-known historical interpreter and actress. This will be her third time joining the Durand-Hedden community. She had previously delighted a full-house at Jefferson School as Harriet Tubman, hosted by Durand-Hedden, and performed at the Durand-Hedden Juneteenth event.
Following the program at The Woodland, participants are invited to Durand-Hedden House to visit the house and gardens, view the exhibit Honoring the Hard-Won Fight for Votes for Women, and shop at the Country Store
Admission to the program as well as to the house and exhibit is free; proof of vaccination and masks are required for all.

The Durand-Hedden House and Garden Association is Maplewood’s historic house museum, dedicated to creating engaging and informative educational programs and materials about the local history of Maplewood and surrounding communities, natural history, and other related topics.
